Hope House..a Place of Respite and Healing

A person diagnosed with cancer undergoes uncertainty and fear. To some of these patients, coming to cities the size of Midland and Odessa can be intimidating as they arrive not knowing anyone, not able to afford a place to stay and dealing with the unknowns of the disease.

Non-profit Gifts of Hope Foundation assists cancer patients in need; the cancer patient who has limited financial resources. Typical patients may live in Midland or Odessa, but many live in a small community in the Permian Basin and drive into Midland to be treated at the Allison Cancer Center or the West Texas Cancer Center in Odessa.

Gifts of Hope provides that place at no cost to the patient through the operation of Hope House, which is adjacent to Allison Cancer Center in Midland. Hope House has five bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, it has a kitchen and common room where they can meet other patients.

Gifts of Hope also assists the patients who cannot afford some medications or the associated deductibles as well as some indirect medical expenses not covered by any other entity
